1. Who we are
This website, blogness.org, is operated by Blogness, a company registered in the State of Florida, USA ("Blogness", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: admin@blogness.org.
2. What data we collect
• Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number and your message.
• Accounts and community features: if you sign up, your name, email, profile details and the content you post.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
• Donations: your name, email, billing details and the amount. Card numbers are handled directly by our payment providers; we never see or store them.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and cookies (see section 6).
3. Why we use it (legal basis)
• To answer your messages and provide the services you request (contract / your request).
• To process payments and keep the accounting records the law requires (legal obligation).
• To send newsletters, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To keep the website secure and understand how it is used (legitimate interest).
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website, under contract and only as needed: Wix.com (hosting, forms, accounts, payments), our payment processors, Usercentrics (cookie consent management), Wix Multilingual (website translation) and email providers. Some of these providers are located in the USA; where EU/UK data is transferred, they rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
5. How long we keep it
Contact messages: up to 24 months. Account data: while your account is active. Payment records: as long as tax law requires (typically 7–10 years). Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
6. Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work and, only with your consent, cookies for statistics and marketing. On your first visit a consent banner (provided by Usercentrics) lets you accept all, deny non-essential cookies or choose by category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Privacy Settings button on the site, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without the necessary ones.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to admin@blogness.org; we answer within 30 days. EU/UK residents may also complain to their data protection authority (in Italy: the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
8. Children
This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
